Cube Houses

History

Next to the Markthal you will find the inventive and arguably the most iconic building in Rotterdam, the Cube houses. Designed by Piet Blom and based on the concept of "living as an urban roof".

Oude Haven

History

The first jetty of the Oude Haven is said to have been built around 1350, making it the oldest port in Rotterdam. In the Oude Haven area we also find an unmissable historical attraction: the White House, the first skyscraper in Europe.

With more than 20 restaurants, the Oude Haven is an ideal area for a tasty snack, dinner or perhaps a beer on a terrace. The atmosphere provides a great spot for family and friends.
